Vaudésir Grand Cru

Located on a south facing slope, in the heart of a valley, our Vaudesir vineyard enjoys perfect weather conditions, enabling our grapes to ripen quickly.

Vaudésir is a complex wine that can be very pleasing even in its early years. It is a round and powerful wine with toasted and honeyed aromas.

This is certainly a memorable wine. It may not have the mineral character of a Grand Cru Les Clos, but it is a charming wine that can be enjoyed earlier.

Technical informations:

AOC: Chablis Grand Cru

Grape variety: Chardonnay

Origin: Domaine Pascal Bouchard

Vineyard: 0,56 ha planted in 1989

Viticulture: No use of fertilisers, working of the soil, careful treatments, high trimming, manual harvest, yields kept between 40 and 45hl/ha.

Vinification: Fermentation and aging in oak barrels (no new oak) of 350 liters.

Bottling: 12 to 15 months after the harvest

Cellarage potential: Can be drunk after 3 years, but will keep for up to 8 or 10 years (more in exceptional vintages).

Annual production: about 3,000 bottles.
